Tardozzi spilled the beans about the VR46 team plans in an interview at Silverstone yesterday. Apparently Di Giannantonio is staying with the team and getting a factory GP25 next season.  Morbidelli will move over to the VR46 team and get a GP24.

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 team announced they have signed a multi-year agreement with Ducati to become a factory supported team starting in 2025.

Trackhouse Racing has signed Moto2 rider Ai Ogura to a 2-yr contract.

And in related news...
Kind of disappointing that Trackhouse will no longer run their red/white/blue livery, and instead run silver/blue.

Thailand has been announced as the opening round for 2025, likely the first weekend of March.
This will surely shake up the usual schedule since it's so close to Malaysia, India was already announced as the tentative 2nd round, and Qatar is the traditional opener and was expected to be early in the season to avoid high temp issues.
Wonder how this will affect the US round, if any?

Yamaha signed Dovizioso out of retirement as a test rider since Crutchlow is still recovering from injury/surgery.
He did seme testing at Misano this week. Yamaha asked Dovi to do some wildcards this season but he declined. Bummer, I wanted to see old 04 out there!

Aldeguer is officially at Gresini Ducati for the next 2 seasons.
And Gresini has announced a 2-year extension with Ducati through 2026.

So, only 3 seats remain "open" pending official team announcements: one at LCR Honda currently occupied by Nakagami, and the two at the new Pramac Yamaha team (although those seem to be going to Oliveira and Miller based on current rumors).

And the Brno circuit has been added back into the schedule starting next season and running through 2029.

So, only 3 seats remain "open" pending official team announcements: one at LCR Honda currently occupied by Nakagami, and the two at the new Pramac Yamaha team (although those seem to be going to Oliveira and Miller based on current rumors).

Next season will have at least 3 rookies in MotoGP. Somkiat Chantra is moving up to take Nakagami's seat on the LCR Honda team. He's in for a tough ride. Nakagami is moving over to HRC as a test rider.

Big news from last weekend! Repsol is bailing out of MotoGP at the end of the season.

From the official announcement: Repsol will not renew its current sponsorship contract with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) for the MotoGP World Championship, which ends on December 31 of this year.
After 30 years of collaboration at the highest level of motorcycle racing, Honda Racing Corporation and Repsol will part ways at the conclusion of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship.

The final seat has been claimed. It's now official. Jack Miller has signed a 1-year deal with Prima Pramac Yamaha

Yamaha's Lin Jarvis also confirmed that they are developing a V4 engine, which may be rolled out before the 2027 technical updates.

Iannone is returning to MotoGP this weekend in Malaysia on a VR46 Ducati as a substitute rider for Di Giannantonio. He has not raced in MotoGP since 2019 when we was banned by WADA for doping.

The final race in Valencia in two weeks is up in the air now due to the recent flooding in the area that resulted in over 70 deaths. According to reports the track itself is OK but there is no vehicle access due to road damage. More storms were predicted through today (Thur 10/31).

just been cancelled, to be rescheduled for another day another place. they have major problems there, we are there every year and are sitting on four tickets for this year, but their problems are bigger that that.
