If you can get some shipped from Japan, there are a lot of options

There is a guy on advrider forum who has had a couple of those. He has done everything to it that can possibly be done and still have lights.
Cool bikes, too bad they don't have aluminum frames like the ones from the 80's-90's.

It does run really good, and shifts very nice through all the gears. Handling is a bit to get used to with the 16 inch front. Brakes work, but 40+ year old tech leaves a bit to be desired. It's a matter now of checking for leaks of any kind, any and everywhere. And gaining trust in the bike, as I have no idea of what was done to it before I got it. Ears open to all the sounds and feeling what the bike is trying to say.

Put in a new clutch, adjusted 8 valves...one of which was so far out, I only had 30psi of compression, rebuilt all 3 master cylinders, 2 calipers, and clutch slave, rebuilt the forks with new seals-fresh oil-and new bushings, new head bearings, new brake pads, new instrument gauge lights, repainted all engine covers, new seat, polished all bodywork and windscreen, power washed entire bike when bodywork was stripped off, rebuilt carbs with new Mikuni float valves/seats, rebuilt the petcock, and just took it for its first test ride Friday...along with my first ride of the year.

I would say there is maybe a 1% chance that could ever be fixed without needing to be repainted in some manner, the way that's been hit.
Good luck

It was very sad to see RGV250.co.uk shut down.
Tons of very useful as well as important info on building as well as history on those bikes...basically all lost now

I'm not seeing it...?
I opened your link but not seeing bikes anywhere

Thanks guys

Still needs a complete rebuild, I have the parts...just need the time and motivation for another stroker build.
But at least now, I have everything I wanted in my head for it, lined up.

Spacers made, and everything works as it is supposed to. Only took about 6 years to get this segment of the project to materialize...

Thanks, hopefully I can get the clutch issue figured out and some serious detailing, and it will be ready to burn some rubber again.

After my first FJ I bought new back in 84 got totaled by one of my friends in 1986, I have been wanting another.
I finally quit thinking and just acted instead ......

After a quick clean up.
