Out for a haircut this morning, stopped on the way at our local NAPA autoparts. Asked if they had B8ES and they had 5! I bought four and they said they could have eighteen more in a few days. Must be remaining in-stock in the stores. So I'll go ahead and install the resistor caps (when they come in from EC) for now, and when I run out of the non-resistor plugs switch to BR8ES.

This for an RD? I thought the ES were too long.
Do not underestimate the power of a two-stroke.

Depends which RD model:
RD60 = B7HS
RD125/200/250/350 = B8HS
RD400 (and RD125C/RD200C) = B8ES

I also bought a few non-resistor plugs earlier this year when I heard they were discontinued. This is less than half of my stash :dawg:

I figure the four that I bought MIGHT get me through getting it started. Maybe ride around the neighborhood. After they are toast, I'll probably replace the resistors in the caps with copper tubing and switch to the resistor plugs. Funny, I don't remember ever changing the plugs in my RD400c back in the '70s. Just add gas and oil, lube the chain and go.

Well at least we know where the new NGK warehouse has moved to...

PID, Gas ain't what it used to be.  It's a whole different mix now and unleaded doesn't short out plugs with lead, but the plugs do take on a black coating that takes more heat to burn clean.

Try BR8EIX iridium plugs and zero resistance caps.

Last time I ordered I ended up with the B8HS-10 by mistake, haven't tried them yet but from what I read they are for the marine market and just gapped larger.  I re-gapped them properly and can't find another differences.  Anyone else try them?  At least they are still available.
