Just keep waiting, this is not unusual, the registration card and sticker have come in 4-5 weeks later for the ones I did in January.

I have the same problem as pdxjim. Have the tag and a copy of the paperwork I sent them but no official card or sticker. Anyone know what's going on here?  I went to my dmv and they said I needed an official registration card. Anyone know how to overcome this?  I'll call them up next week and report back, but hopefully one of you guys can give some insight.

I heard from a Vermonter and the same thing is happening to residents that walk into DMV, being told paperwork will be mailed.

Does anybody have any advice on getting a title in FL.  I have all the proper paperwork and they are telling me they won't process it.

The registration card from Vermont has a box labeled title that says Issued.  They saw that and said, well they say a title has been issued. ..

Anyone have any experience with this?

have them call vermont dmv while you are standing there. the registration IN vermont IS the title. they legally have to honor it.

You can also go to the Vermont DMV site and print out the sheet that explains they do not hold titles for vehicles over 15 years old

Process seems to be working fine at this time, waiting for the sticker and papers but did get get the plate. Everything was returned once because I missed 2 boxes, they were highlighted IIRC, filled em in and sent it back.

Happy they sent me a copy of the paperwork so that I do it correctly if there is a next time.

I spoke with the VT DMV today regarding the process for my 84 RZ after being on hold for 40 minutes. They are quite busy. I was on the interstate for my commute so other than the horrible elevator on hold music it wasn't bad. I confirmed that the bill of sale does NOT have to be notarized and in my case since it is an 84 model the odometer verification statement does NOT have to be included. Also confirmed that VIN verification is NOT required ( due to Covid, but the last two I had done before Covid years ago went through without it as well) They have updated the forms and you can type all the info on to the form on the computer and then print it all out. The only writing you have you have to do is the signatures. In my case the current NADA value for my 84 RZ is $1545 for a motorcycle rated in " fair" condition. The balance due will be $140.70. $48.00  for the registration fee and 6% of the $1545.00 which is $92.70.( I used $500 as a Purchase price). The forms required are the VD-119 210M and the VT Bill of Sale and Odemeter Disclosure Statement or if 2011 or older a generic bill of sale that per VT DMV-119i must include "Bill of sale must contain sufficient information to identify the vehicle, including Make,Year,VIN,Purchase Price, Mileage, Signature of Seller and Date of Sale". I will be putting the packet in the mail by the end of the week. They said 4-6 weeks processing time and they are currently running 7 days behind opening thier mail.

Like mentioned above it really helps to print this document and give it to your dmv or tag office with your paperwork. It helps to legitimize your answer when they ask for the old title.

Here's the link to the paper.

Very cool. I have always wanted to title my dads 1974 Honda trail 70. It did not come with a title in the states because it was considered an off road vehicle. But it did come with all lights, horn.  except turn signals or mirrors which is easy enough. I have his original bill of sale and receipt for 450.00. Maybe I will just send them that. Lol

I got my approved registration application and a tag with no sticker today in line with the previous posts. So we know it is approved.  Now we wait for the permanent registration and sticker to arrive. I saw a couple days ago when I checked my bank statement on line that they had cashed the check.  :righteous: :righteous:
Now as soon as I get my cash for my latest dumpster full of scrap metal from the farm they picked up today I will be sending off my order to John at Economy Cycle.

I'll second this.  Took my LC to the Oregon DMV today to transfer to and OR title, and they were all quite confused by the lack of a proper title from VT.  The document linked above really helped plead my case.

They took my money and "sent my paperwork down to Salem for review".

Fingers crossed I'll se an OR plate and title in the mail  in a few weeks.
