Haven't done much lately.  Just moving stuff around and inventoried for the build.  Have quite a lot of non bike going on right now..
But soon..

Merry Christmas to Me!
My very excellent son got me these awesome speedo & tach gauges from Parts+More. My R5 project has hundreds of brand new parts in it's resurrection.  Now it's got 0 miles on it! LOL!
Thanks to Mark for the heads up on these. Gonna make my bike sweet!

So I'm getting the frame parts and misc. stuff ready for blasting and powder coat.
These are the 2 side stands I have. I'm going with the one on the left.
The other looks tweaked. Same with the foot rest stands. The bottom looks bent.
Other parts I'm working with what I have which may be just one parts.but
Not sure if air box and other tins deserve or require coating. I may just paint them.

Happy to get the fork stop done.
I first cut some 1" bar stock into 1" pieces.
Then trimed one into a 1/2" piece.
Then milled a bevel round into the 1/2" and one of the 1" pieces so they fit the round head stock center position.
Then tacked those to the head stock, then the final 1" piece on top.
After that welded all of it solid. Ground the welds down proper and finished off with buffer.
I think it came out as good as possible.

Still toiling away on this one.. really taking longer than I expected.
Don't let anybody tell you how much you will get done when you retire.
They be lying about all that free time.

So I have a vintage ride coming on July 15.
I decided to go through this one and prep it for that ride.
It has great compression 145 - 140 left to right.
Should I put new rings or leave it alone?
Gears all work as they should it seems.
Definitely new gaskets and seals.
I have lots of new parts for it..pretty much everything you can think of.
I bought double and triple of everything.
Really hoping to get it done..

why rering it? id be more concerned about crank seals than rings.
