Bought these off Ebay.
Hoping they are good for R5

Ok another crappy internet night...so no pic
They are supposed to be ProX R5 rods kits #03.2251
But though I know they fit multiple engines I'm not good enough to know.

According to the PROX catalogue I have the 03.2251 kit is for a RD / DT 125LC YPVS. The kit for the RD250 / 350 is a 03.2025 which should be the same as the R5. The 03.2251 kit has almost identical dimensions however there are a couple of subtle differences the main one being that the big end pin is 3mm longer.

Googling the PROX part number only mentions the RD / DT 125. No mention of the R5. Fingers crossed you'll hopefully get the right part

This is what I recieved

soonerbillz

Just confirmed.
 I got the wrong parts.

soonerbillz

Just ordered the correct parts.
 Thanks for the info.

Strangely the OEM reference on the box ( 34X ) is the correct Yamaha code. The rod in the 03.2251 kit would have worked however you would have had to use you're old big end pin (not recommended) Have you just bought the one kit ?

SoCal250

As said above, 03.2025 are correct for RD350 A/C

Don't have a proper place yet to work on stuff. But it's good to do what I can, where I can. Haven't done back porch wrenching in a long time.

I'm reduced temporarily my porch for wrenching.
Won't stop me.

So happy for good friends.
With the tools I salvaged, parts and a complete bike good freinds donated I have everything I need to complete my R5 build.. though not with what I started with.
Life is funny. Seems we don't end up where we envision we will.
