This is the 4 stroke side of my garage....

I'll start with my oldest and work my way up.....

1978 Suzuki GS1000E
Sadly this bike has been sitting for over 12 years now.
I bought it and had planned on turning it into a full on AMA period correct Superbike.
Collected a lot of parts....but mostly dust as my two stroke projects keep pulling me away.

I eventually ended up pulling off the 29 smoothbores and cleaned them up and put them on my other GS1000 Left for Dead project

But I have a set of 33 smoothbore to go back on, along with a big port head and 1085 Wiseco kit.....and lots of other cool old parts....

Thanks

Here is my other 78 GS1000
This bike was originally purchased as a parts bike for the above GS I already had.
But plans changed, and after about $4500 on top of the initial $400 Craigslist price....I had a running bike.

nice work!  those things are exactly suited to my tastes of what a good looking four stroke bike is.

Heres another of my 4 stroke project bikes.
Started out as a bare frame and swingarm that were hanging in the rafters of a barn...

This is the the first version which I built starting in 1997

Then in 2002 I bought a Hayabusa, and the CBX was parked in my basement.
After about 10 years of riding the Hayabusa, I started getting bored with it, and wanted something with a bit more character.
So I dusted off the CBX, and decided to freshen it up a little.

For something that isn't a 2T, I find the sound a CBX makes jaw dropping - looks great too.

Wow!

You have a very nice collection of bikes.

Best regards
Peddro.

Your collection is on another level. I like the vette too! My a good friend of mine has a '63 he is putting together after it sat for a good 15 years. Those Katana's have a look about them, that is for sure!

Thanks guys
The blue 78 GS1000 was recently sold to recover some finances and get a spot in the garage for my TZR250RSP.
Very sad to see it go, but the guy who bought it drove 6 hours one way to get it, and loved it the minute he saw it.

The 65 Vette was a 365/327, M21 trans, 4.11 rear, genuine factory original knock offs, and added factory side pipes.... Long gone now to a restorer somewhere in Ohio. :bang:     The 2007-08 financial crisis hit me from behind.
Also had a Sept build 68 L71 two top roadster, and a 71 base roadster..... Yes....gone as well.... divorce in those two cases.

The van gets attention almost every time I take it out...usually kids pointing and telling their mom or dad to look.
It has better looking tires and wheels now.

The Katana has always been a love it or hate it kind of design..... I am more towards the love it for what is was at the time.  8)

This is my 86 GSXR1100
Bought it in March 2009.....have never ridden it.
Bought on Ebay, as a non running bike. Drove about 5 hours into Ohio to get it out of the dirt floor barn it had been stored in.
No title.....
Rough but complete...still has the original front tire  under 10,000 miles I think :blah:
Engine ran,but was leaking oil from the head gasket area where the oil flows back down to crankcase.
I bought it very cheap knowing someday they would go up in price, and started collecting parts.

And it has been collecting nothing but dust since.
I got deeper into my two strokes, so it keeps getting pushed back each year with another project ahead of it.

Possibly a retirement project in another 10 years.....

It might seem a waste for it to just sit like this.....but I think it's better than the fate it may have had......
.....during the heat of the custom street fighter time period
It's a still survivor.

1988 FZR1000 that I bought used in spring of 1989 with less than 1000 miles on it.

I've been through hell and back on this one.
Street raced and even had wheelie bars and slicks for a while when I took it to the track to run...
Put me down on the ground hard on the street once, and I still have metal in me from the crash....(busted me up pretty good...bike made out better)

After those early years it ended up sitting collecting dust for almost 20 years before I got it back running again...
Put all the street bits back on it to make it legal, pulled the tether kill and air shifter off
Still runs just like it did during those dragstrip days... :metal:

Although for the past couple years it has been collecting dust again.... ???
