The Red Scourge

When this was originally announced it seemed like a long shot to actually hit production.  I'm interested to see it in action.

I've read a couple of articles as well as the official announcement at Kawasaki's website but have yet to see or read a HP #?

It's also looking a bit heavy almost 520lbs. 😳

EDIT:  420lbs not 520.

Still too heavy!

if thats true, thats about the same weight my 2014 cb1100 is now (with the aftermarket exhaust). either thats just wrong or insane on Kawasaki's part. talk about a bike that needs a deltabox frame.  :burnout:

Claimed power is just under 80HP (for the EU version, should be similar here).
Torque is 26.5 lb-ft @ 11,000 rpm.
Weight (wet) is 414.5 lbs

ZX4RR KRT Edition is $9699 MSRP. That means the dealers here will have them tagged at about $11799 with ADM.

420 lbs & 80 HP = FUN!  I wouldn't be able to ride one with those ergos and my back but it is good to see Kaw release something besides the usual stuff.  :gentleman:

Awesome. We missed out on 400 repli-racers the first time around (except the FZR), so it's about time!

I'm happy they are bringing it in, but my Aprilia RSV4 weighs basically the same. (At well over 2 1/2 times the HP)
They really should have at least used an aluminum frame/swingarm.

exactly. theres no excuse not to. that should be in the 345-360 range weight wise.

Yup. That was the real draw of the 80s and early 90s JDM race reps. The manufacturers dumped all their highest tech bits on the 250 and 400 cc bikes. Now, not so much.

kinda like when they made the sv650 go from 365 lbs in 99 to 430 in 2014. I literally gave the 430 lb one away. no-thank-you.  :busey:

they should add a supercharger and change the name to H1  :righteous:
