I thought you were to put it back to stock, or when it ran good then go from there?

Yes, they supply KTM with the engines for their mid-sized bikes, while Bajaj makes the smaller engines (390 and under).

Turning Wrenches / Another leaking neutral switch...
Last post by Kawtriplefreak - December 14, 2025, 09:48:36 PM

Went out into the shop yesterday and saw a spot of transmission oil under the LH side of my White RZ. Another aftermarket neutral switch. I took it out and cleaned it and the cavity in the case thoroughly with brake kleen, then applied a generous coat of Permatex anerobic sealant and reinstalled it. The picture is one hour after the work. It was bitter cold and windy here today so I stayed in the house. I will know tomorrow. If it leaks I have a spare Yamaha factory switch in a spare motor. We will see.

Doesnt CF make engines for KTM?

Seems like they probably have a head start as a result.

General Chatter / A farewell

We said goodbye to Dennis today, known herein as dgorms. I spoke with his son and daughter, and a couple of people I knew. There were a lot of folks there! The man had an impact, and he will be missed.

Dennis had a wicked sense of humor, was generous to a fault and knew how to have a good time; I think we laughed every time we were together, and I believe he's still laughing at me. Never did come and sheetrock our hallway, didja?

Will be interesting to see how their V4 holds up. Hope it gets KTM motivated to getting a street version of their V4 out to the masses.
