One thing is for sure, it is very difficult to get your fingers in there to connect and disconnect them.

Faint stain on one

I have a pair of 5I4 needles from RD250 carbs if you have your heart set on that particular one.

A RD400 swing arm is 1" longer than the others.

I'm waiting for my Fed Ex driver to arrive today to see what happened and if everyone is ok. 

I don't get why you would use bigger tires when it doesn't really put any more rubber on the road, maybe less the way it fits on a rim that isn't very wide. They certainly don't heat up like a smaller tire would and heat sure helps with grip.

Yamalube 2R pre-mix

2 years and 1500 miles after new pistons I noticed my hot rod slowing down. Torn it down and here is what I found. The left side was running a bit hotter according to my cylinder head temperature sensors. Rings were shot, top ring on left side had a .050" end gap, right side .035". Lower rings were hanging in there ok. Left piston .0025" smaller than new, right side .0015". Cylinders have a little wear that the hone marks are gone below the intake and exhaust ports. A quick hone and I think they will be ok. Between the worn pistons and maybe a bit in the cylinders the piston clearance was at .004". New pistons and I should be ok but I'm checking them 1000 miles next time. This has at least stage II porting and gets ridden kind of hard (9500 rpm). 

They sure like to dig deep when they escape. 

I checked some oem 350/400 reeds and they are the dimensions you have there. They should fit in the cylinder without having to remove any material or needing a spacer.

Those 1A1 pistons with the notch on the exhaust side skirt are RD400
